Your wedding day is one of the most special moments of your life, and we believe your cake should be just as memorable! At The Gingerbread Lady Bakery, we specialize in crafting bespoke wedding cakes that reflect your unique love story. From elegant and timeless designs to modern statement pieces, we’ll help you create the perfect cake that complements your theme, style, and personality.
Our Process – From Inspiration to Reality
1. Gathering Inspiration
We begin by exploring your vision—bring along reference photos, color palettes, floral preferences, and any design ideas that inspire you. Whether you envision a classic white tiered cake, a floral masterpiece, or a contemporary textured design, we’re here to bring it to life.
2. Wedding Consultation & Tasting
Once we’ve discussed your initial ideas, we’ll schedule a 20-minute wedding consultation to refine your concept. This session allows us to answer your questions, discuss flavors, frosting finishes, cake toppers, delivery, setup, and any extra details. As part of your consultation, you’ll receive six tasting cupcakes to help finalize your flavor choices. You can explore our full flavor menu [here].
3. Designing Your Dream Cake
After our meeting, we’ll work on a custom design tailored to your wedding vision. Once you’re happy with the final look, we’ll secure your wedding date and complete the booking process.
4. Booking & Payment
To finalize your order, we’ll complete an order form confirming all the details we’ve discussed. An invoice will then be issued, requiring a 50% deposit by the end of the current month to secure your booking. The remaining balance is due three weeks before your wedding date. If preferred, you may also choose to pay the full amount upfront.
5. Final Confirmation & Delivery
A week before your wedding, we’ll check in to confirm all details, including delivery time and your designated contact person for the day. From there, simply relax and enjoy the countdown to your special day—we’ll handle the rest!
Secure Your Wedding Date
We only book one wedding per weekend to ensure that we dedicate our full attention to making your cake perfect. Our wedding calendar fills up months in advance, so we recommend getting in touch as early as possible to secure your date.
